Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Yasonna H Laoly promised to work according to the law in verifying the validity of the Democratic Extraordinary Congress (KLB). Yasonna said that Kemenkumham had received the documents resulting from the KLB Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.
“If it’s really not in accordance with the law, not in accordance with the statutes, we take that decision. But, if it is, how can I take the decision again,” said Yasonna in a working meeting with Commission III of the DPR, Wednesday (17/3)
Currently, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights is still deepening the results of the Democrat Party Outbreak. According to Yasonna, each document will be examined in detail by his party.
“We have only been with our team for one day, we have enough documents to check one by one. For example, the management is correct no this is the caretaker. Because, we were also given a letter by AHY, later we will crosscheck Just from the existing SK-SK, “said Yasonna.
After the meeting, Yasonna emphasized that the Ministry of Law and Human Rights would make decisions regarding the Democrat Party polemic. However, before that, his party will review the documents in accordance with the provisions of the applicable law.
Yasonna also emphasized that the receipt of the KLB Deli Serdang result was not a form of taking sides with the government towards certain camps. On the contrary, it is a form of Kemenkumham commitment to be objective.
“If I have decided there is still a dispute, yes those who are fighting in court, may that’s the mechanism, “said Yasonna.
Previously, the Democratic Party chaired by the Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Moeldoko had submitted the results of the Deli Serdang KLB to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Submission of files and documents will be carried out on Monday (15/3).
“We would like to thank the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights for receiving it very well, friendly and openly,” said the spokesman for the KLB version of the Democratic Party, Muhammad Rahmad in a written statement, Tuesday (16/3).
He explained that the registration of the KLB results was received directly by the Director General of General Legal Administration (AHU) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Cahyo Rahadian Muzhar. According to him, this is an example of a very good, open and transparent public service from the Joko Widodo administration.
“Let us put the democratization process in accordance with the rules of the game that we have agreed upon together and do not bring the government into internal conflicts of political parties anymore,” said Rahmad.
Meanwhile, DPR Commission III member who is also Deputy Chairperson of the Democratic Party Benny K Harman prayed for and hoped that the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H Laoly could enforce the law well. He said it was a request from a cadre of the Democratic Party.
“His prayer is to stay upright with the law, may so. Solve all problems with the law, that’s their prayer. What are the problems, yes, if there are problems related to us, of course that is also the prayer in it, “said Benny in a working meeting with Yasonna, Wednesday (17/3).
He also prayed that Yasonna would always be given health so that in his duties he could always think clearly. “For the Minister, so that he is healthy, away from Covid so that the mind remains clear. Stay smart, can solve all problems, including problems of any nation,” said Benny.
