Yasmine Pierards is a 23-year-old Belgian known in the reality TV world. She has indeed participated in several shows, such as “L’Île de la Tentation”, “Ex on The Beach” or “Princes and Princesses of Love”. A few days ago, she was violently assaulted in her apartment.
On her Instagram account, Yasmine Pierards posted photos of her swollen face. The bloody nose, huge bruises, a black eye … She explains the facts in the caption of these appalling photos. “I wanted to keep this a secret and not post anything at all. But I feel like I need to use my platform to raise awareness about harassment. It all started with a stupid little after party at my place. At the end of the evening I wanted everyone to go but there was a man (I had seen him once because we have mutual friends) who didn’t want to go home because he wanted to sleep home.“
“He hit me in the face several times”
The man in question had fallen asleep on Yasmine Pierards’ sofa. She woke him up and told him he had to go. “He was acting confused and instead of going home he went straight to my room and locked himself there.“The young woman explains that she wanted to call the police, but unfortunately her phone was in her room.”I was scared because he was still at my house so I kept telling him he had to leave. He opened the door and came back to my living room, I told him I really needed him to go.“
This is where things get out of hand. “He lost his head and hit me in the face several times. I immediately felt that my nose was broken and there was nothing I could do to protect myself. He kept hitting me so I fell to the ground. While I was lying on the floor, he continued to hit me and kick me all over the body. I was so scared when all the blood was running down my face and at that point I crawled to the lobby of my apartment building to ask the neighbors to call the police. This man came over and sat down next to me in the hallway. He told me it was my fault because I wanted him to leave.“
“It could have ended even worse”
The police arrived and Yasmine Pierards was taken to hospital. According to her, her attacker spent 5 to 6 hours in prison before being released. “I was in the hospital for two days, my nose is broken, I have a concussion and my eye is screwed up. I feel bad but still lucky because it could have ended even worse. “The candidate then announces that she will take a little break from social networks. On her account, we can also see ders images of her apartment with traces of blood from the assault.
