Yasmin Brunet backs down and says Medina will be 100% in the Olympics, even without her

After getting involved in controversies with the International Olympic Committee (COB), Gabriel Medina is finally in Japan to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. However, the surfer is without the company of his beloved, Yasmin Brunet.

The couple who say they have tried everything to include Yasmin in the list of coaching staff, who can accompany the athletes in the Olympic games, had to accept the “tragic” end of separating (it even became a meme on the internet). At the time, even when trying to find his place in the games, Yasmin Brunet argued that without her, the athlete representing Brazil would not be well enough for the competition.

Gabriel Medina himself, two-time surfing world champion, even said a few minutes before boarding the plane to Tokyo, that he won’t be 100% due to his wife’s absence.

Medina left for Tokyo last Saturday (17) at Guarulhos airport, in São Paulo. Yasmin accompanied him and there the two gave several interviews to the journalists who were present.

In a video released by journalist Leo Dias’ social media page, Yasmin Brunet appears stating that the surfer will be 100% for the Tokyo Olympic Games, even in his absence.

While the reporter spoke: “I just talked to him and whoops… Because you didn’t go he said; ‘I’m not going to be 100%, but I’m going to do my best’, she was interrupted by Yasmin, who said: “Yes, it’s going to be 100%, for sure”.
