Yasin Ayari Loaned to Blackburn Extending Until Summer, Debut Tomorrow in FA Cup

Yasin Ayari, 20, was loaned from Brighton to Coventry in August. The idea was that he would play there the whole season.

Now it is clear that the young midfielder is going to another club on loan, namely Blackburn.

The new loan agreement extends to the summer.

– We are very pleased that Yasin will be our first signing in January and look forward to seeing him in our blue and white shirt, says Blackburn’s director of football Gregg Broughton to the club’s website and continues:

– As with all Brighton players, he has good technical and physical qualities combined with great character. He can play anywhere in our midfield, giving us depth and competition there during the spring season.

Blackburn, who are in seventeenth place in the Championship, writes that Ayari can make his debut already in tomorrow’s FA Cup meeting with Cambridge United.

The 20-year-old has a contract with Brighton until the summer of 2027. He joined from AIK in January last year.

Ayari has scored one goal in six U21 internationals for Sweden. He has also made two international matches, both during the January tour in 2023.
