The court made its decision on October 7.
“… to choose a measure of restraint in the form of detention. After the arrest and no later than 48 hours after delivery, consider with his (Yanukovych – ed.) participation the issue of applying the chosen measure of restraint,” the judge announced.
At the end of July of this year, a petition was submitted to VAKS from the NABU and SAP to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention for former President Viktor Yanukovych and his son in the case of the appropriation of Mezhyhirya.
Note that the GPU was also investigating the case of the seizure of the complex of buildings of the Mezhyhirya residence. As part of this case, the suspicion was reported in absentia to Yanukovych. Later, the case was transferred to NABU and SAP.
