A surprise awaited the journalists on Friday morning in the peristyle of the Parliament.
The former minister of the PASOK governments, Yannos Papantoniou, was in the Parliament in order to settle a personal issue.
As he said, “I am happy because my personal Calvary is over.”
It is recalled that a short time ago Mr. Papantoniou was found not guilty due to suspicions of offenses related to a bribe of 2.4 million euros from the 2003 contract for the modernization of six frigates of the Navy, while he was the Minister of Defense.
Giannos Papantoniou was also the “tsar” of the Greek economy for a number of years.
