Yannik Keitel missed the match at Borussia Mönchengladbach (6-0) due to an injury in the SC Freiburg squad. The midfielder stayed in Breisgau due to muscular problems.
After the 9th matchday (2-0 against Wolfsburg) it was the second time that he was completely absent. Otherwise, appearances as substitutes were the order of the day.
The starting eleven, however, which Keitel held in the first six competitive games, was able to conquer newcomer Maximilian Eggestein. Nicolas Höfler and he have formed the duo in the Freiburg center for nine league games.
