This young singer of Tahitian origin brings to life the Polynesian music dear to his heart on the French Riviera.

Author, composer, performer, Yann Kees Moana, 24, lives in Nice. As a fa’a’amu child, Yann regularly returns to Polynesia with his family and it is with Joël Burns, a well-known teacher of ‘ukulele and traditional percussion, that he began to learn Polynesian music. Tō’ere, tari parau, fa’atete, as many instruments that he was able to practice in different troupes (Tamarii Tahiti from Nice, Hei Show Tamure from Toulon); in short, he lives his culture thoroughly even on the shores of the French Riviera. The young man has also created his dance and music association, “Moana nui”, to promote Polynesian culture in France.
