Yankees are offering Miguel Andújar before the trade deadline

The New York Yankees are offering Miguel Andujar ahead of the trade deadline, the New York Post’s Jon Heyman reported.

Let’s remember that at the beginning of June Andújar asked to be changed teams, since he considers that the Yankees are not giving him the necessary opportunities in MLB.

The 27-year-old has appeared in 14 MLB games this season, hitting .245 with a .269 OBP and .286 slugging percentage. In the team led by Aaron Boone he does not have space at the moment and that is why the organization is intensifying its efforts to transfer him before August 2.

His name has been linked to exchange rumors for a couple of seasons, without an agreement having been reached so far. In part, because Andújar had not been able to return to the offensive level that led him to be a finalist in the Rookie of the Year voting in 2018, due to various injuries, especially one to his shoulder.
