Los New York Yankees and the San Diego Parents have had preliminary talks about a possible agreement that would send the Dominican Juan Soto straight to the Bronx. The talks have not yet advanced beyond that initial check.
The Yankees and Padres have had a preliminary conversation about Juan Soto, league sources say. What it does and does not mean:

So far it is unknown which other names of players or prospects have been mentioned in the conversations between the top brass of New York and San Diego, however, it is believed that in the midst of a possible agreement there would be everything from prospective players, little year of service and obviously, money.
The strong expectation from rival executives is that Soto, 25 and entering his final season before free agency, would be available for a trade as long as it is in “the right deal.” Everything indicates that San Diego is not actively selling Soto, but it does not rule out doing so either.
When asked by San Diego reporters earlier this month about the future of Juan Soto, Padres general manager AJ Preller said his “first course” would be to extend Soto. When asked about their exchange, Preller said, “We’ve never been a group that says no to anything. I wouldn’t interpret that. “That’s how we operate.”
It should be noted that it is projected that Juan Soto 27-year-old earns more than $30 million in his last year of salary arbitration, a figure that will limit his commercial market, but when it comes to a team with a high payroll like that of the Yankees de New York.
Since Juan Soto began to approach free agency as he rejected a juicy offer of 440 million from the Washington Nationals, the Dominican has been linked to a number of teams such as the Mets, Dodgers, Giants, Cubs, Phillies, Red Sox and Rays .
