PHILADELPHIA (AP) – DJ LeMahieu drove in a career-high six runs on a grand slam and a two-run double, and the New York Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-5 on Wednesday night to sweep the three-game series.

Cuban Nestor Cortes earned his first away win of the year and New York extended its winning streak to five.

Giancarlo Stanton added a pair of hits for New York, which bounced back from a 10-23 slump and is now on its best winning streak since an eight-game winning streak from May 9 to June 6.

Weston Wilson homered and Nick Castellanos drove in three runs for Philadelphia, which has lost four straight and 11 of 15.

Cortes (5-9) had gone 0-5 with a 6.18 ERA in 11 road starts. He allowed three runs and three hits in 5 1/3 innings, striking out six.

Dominican Cristopher Sánchez took the loss.

For the Yankees, Venezuelans Gleyber Torres went 0-for-5 and Carlos Narváez went 1-for-4. Dominican Juan Soto went 1-for-3. Mexican Alex Verdugo went 1-for-3 with two runs scored.

For the Phillies, Panamanian Edmundo Sosa was 0-for-4. Dominican Johan Rojas was 0-for-2.
