jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Chairperson of the Coalition for the Action to Save Indonesia or WE, Ahmad Yani, revealed the concern of General (ret) TNI Gatot Nurmantyo, who has recently increasingly used the term PKI Gaya Baru.
According to Yani, what the former TNI commander said was a reminder to this nation about how dangerous communism is in Indonesia.
“What Pak Gatot said was in the context, especially this is September, yes, this reminds us of the past. The times were so dark decades ago,” said Yani when talking to jpnn.com, Friday (25/9).
According to Yani, this dark period was when there was a rebellion or betrayal of Pancasila as the nation’s philosophy which became an agreement between the nation and the state on August 18, 1945.
He then mentioned a number of rebellion attempts carried out by the PKI, namely the Madiun incident and what happened in 1965. According to him, these incidents are still in the memory of this nation. Even now, indications of the revival of communism and the forbidden party are again visible.
“The indication for arousing communist ideology which is opposed by Muslims, even MUI throughout Indonesia, Islamic mass organizations and others is the launch of a package of laws called the HIP Bill which has not yet been withdrawn from prolegnas, which has been completely opposed,” said Yani.
This former member of Commission III of the DPR even clearly saw that the HIP Bill wanted to refer to Pancasila on June 1, which according to him was not yet a national agreement. Then there is diction and narrative that want to squeeze Pancasila into Trisila and Ekasila.
This Palembang-born politician also highlighted how an institution called BPIP (Pancasila Ideology Development Agency) would be given great power through the BPIP Bill. He can be a single interpreter, become a single researcher so that Pancasila can be owned and interpreted by one group.
