As long as there is no ruling to the contrary, Kiril Petkov can perform his functions. This was stated by the Minister of Justice Prof. Yanaki Stoilov on BTV.

He added that the answer to the citizenship of the Minister of Economy must be given by the Constitutional Court (CC) after receiving the answer from Canada.

Prof. Stoilov reminded that the Constitutional Court had dealt with similar cases on other occasions. Clarifying the concrete facts and building on the previous decisions, the Constitutional Court must rule. Let’s wait for the result, the Minister of Justice called.

Violence must be categorically rejected, he commented on the other hot topic – police violence.

It should be clarified whether other formations were involved in provoking certain reactions. The issue should be covered in its entirety, said Prof. Stoilov.

Regarding the specialized justice, he commented that the approach of the Ministry of Justice is better. It is to have specialized justice without a specialized court and a specialized prosecutor’s office, said Prof. Stoilov.

We propose to create departments, divisions in the headquarters of the appellate districts and to reduce the scope, which is wide and unreasonably wasteful, the minister explained.

According to him, the further the process progresses, the less the chances of a cabinet being nominated by parliament.

The tasks of a possible government and the term of office should be determined first, and then personal issues should be discussed, the minister said.
