PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) answers the ‘demand’ of short-statured consumers who want to ride Yamaha WR 155 R more comfortable. The manufacturer launched two additional accessories named lowering kit and low down seat.
Asst. General Manager Public Relations of PT YIMM, Antonius Widiantoro, explained that by installing these two accessories, the height of the Yamaha WR 155 R can be reduced by up to 8 cm. So, riders with a posture of 170 cm can tread perfectly.
“We get input, oh WR 155 is high for people in general, that’s why we give options to consumers, if they really want to have lower ground clearance, then use lowering kit or low down seat,” said Anton when met in Probolinggo, East Java, Thursday night (17/8).

Lowering kit is a component that serves to lower the position shock breaker behind. Temporary low down seat is an external seat whose thickness is reduced, making it thinner.
According to the material presented by Yamaha during the presentation, lowering kit and low down seat for Yamaha WR 155 R is available at 64 authorized dealers in Indonesia. In addition, these components can also be found in a number of marketplace.

WR 155 R owners who want their vehicles to be made shorter, only need to prepare IDR 486,000 for this lowering kit and IDR 328 thousand for low down seat. This amount does not include installation services.
“So we return it to the market. If he wants a lower WR155, he can use it lowering kit and low down seat. We hope that with this accessory, consumers can have many choices,” said Anton.
