Yaël Menache, who entered the RN to “bulwark against anti-Semitism”, won his first term on Sunday at the age of 37 in the fifth constituency of the Somme, which was held by the right.
Unhappy candidate for the departmental in 2021, she then formed a pair with Damien Rieu, co-founder of the far-right group Identity Generation, who has since joined Eric Zemmour.
She thus beat in the second round the candidate of the Nupes Guillaume Ancelet, obtaining more than 60% of the votes.

“In 2002, my first vote was for the FN, at the time because I was the victim of anti-Semitism, harassment and discrimination because of my Jewishness,” explains this departmental delegate of the RN.
“Too lax condemnations made me realize very quickly that the only bulwark against anti-Semitism is the FN vote and now even more RN,” she adds.
Ms. Menache says she wants to defend “patriotic values” for “the future of our country, France which welcomed my Iraqi Jewish family when they landed in France a century ago”.
Commercial in the IT sector, her LinkedIn page reports that she studied law and philosophy in Lille, and that she mainly worked in the north of France.
In the first round, Yaël Ménache had largely won, even achieving the highest score for the RN in the department, with 34.49% of the vote. Guillaume Ancelet, professor of EPS and novice in politics, had finished second with 20.29% of the votes.
The Somme sends two RN deputies to the Assembly, while Jean-Philippe Tanguy was elected to him in the 4th constituency against the outgoing LREM, Jean-Claude Leclabart.
This evening, I am deeply moved and honored by the trust you have placed in me by electing me Deputy of the Somme with nearly 61% of the vote.
This score obliges me. Thus, I will keep with conviction the commitments I made to you. pic.twitter.com/wUk9bEXMzn
