The La Guitarrera Events Center is the setting for the XXXIII version of the Quinchamalí La Greda Festival, which hopes to receive visitors from the area and other places in the country who like the pieces made by potters from the Chillaneja town.

The opening day included the awarding of potters in the ornamental and utilitarian categories. In the first, the winners, chosen by the jury, were Huaso con China by Silvana Figueroa, Los Bailarines by Victorina Gallegos and first place was awarded to Joel Sánchez with the piece Parvada de Patos. In utility, third place went to Asadera con Tapa, made by Fabila Sobarzo, second went to Chancho Pebrero by Inés Guzmán and first went to Rosa Caro with the piece called Mantequillera.

Mónica Venegas, president of the Union of Artisans of Quichamalí, thanked the municipal support and concluded that “for us it is a privilege and pride to be able to hold this fair in which potters, potters and entrepreneurs meet to show their products so that the public can enjoy what is done in Quinchamalí.”

The mateada, Creole contests and the presentation of local artists are scheduled for today. The fair opens its doors at 10:00 a.m. and admission is completely free.
