Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Car dealers are starting to dare to give discounts to sell their old cars at low prices. This step is to ensure that the stock in the warehouse or dealership can be sold quickly before it is dominated by cars with new models.
“For the old model, we talk about discounts, so PPnBM discounts + dealer discounts. Meanwhile, cashback from dealers is Rp. 7.5 million for all old Xpanders,” said a Mitsubishi salesperson in Jabodetabek to CNBC Indonesia, quoted Wednesday (8/12/21).
The price difference between the old and new models is quite far. For example, the Xpander GLS MT which is the cheapest type of Xpander has a price of IDR 223.79 million after being exposed to the PPnBM relaxation. Then after getting an additional dealer discount, the price becomes IDR 216.29 million.
Meanwhile, the new model, the New Xpander GLS MT, has a price of Rp. 249.93 million, but after being exposed to the relaxation of PPnBM of Rp. 21.9 million, the price becomes Rp. 228.03 million. This means that the difference between the old and new models is Rp. 17.44 million.
Then the old Xpander Sport AT model after being affected by the PPnBM relaxation, the price becomes 258.41 million, then if you add a dealer discount, it becomes below Rp 250 million. While the new model New Xpander Sport CVT has a price of IDR 270.44 million.
Above this type is the New Xpander Ultimate CVT which is priced at Rp. 272.58 million, while the price of the old model is Rp. 262.24 million. If you add a dealer discount, it will be below Rp. 255 million.
Mitsubishi is not the only Brand Holder Sole Agent (ATPM) that provides discounts. There is also Toyota which has also taken similar steps, giving discounts for a number of types.
Reporting from Auto2000, the Yaris 1.5 GM/T 3 Airbags, which previously had a price of Rp. 248.3 million, have now decreased by Rp. 10 million to Rp. 238.3 million. Then the Yaris 1.5 SM/T GR Sport 7 Airbags, which were previously priced at Rp. 273.4 million, have now become Rp. 263.4 million.
Meanwhile, in the low cost green car (LCGC) class, the New Calya 1.2 E STD M/T LUX, which was previously priced at Rp. 149.475 million, has now become Rp. 141.475 million. Meanwhile, from the automatic transmission, the New Calya 1.2 GA/T LUX, which previously had a price of Rp. 170.775 million, has now become Rp. 162.775 million.
