XL entertainment for the long weekend – SinTaccto

Happy those who can take the holidays on Monday and Tuesday and make a getaway in a daze to a tourist destination.
For those who stay at home and will have the armchair as their best friend, I offer this humble list of recommendations for movies and series to watch on different streaming services.

“Euphoria”, special episodes – HBO Go
The series starring Zendaya had its first season in mid-2019 but due to the pandemic, the second was delayed. However, as of today (Friday 4), HBO Go has already made available the first chapter of two that make up a 2020 special that they were able to record -Covid protocols through- as to calm the beasts that we were looking forward to the new episodes. On Sunday 6th at 11pm, the signal will premiere it on your screen.
If you didn’t see it, don’t let it pass. It is impeccably executed and with an absolutely amazing Zendaya.

“Mank” – Netflix
Released on Friday the 4th, David Fincher’s latest film stars the great Gary Oldman playing Herman J. Mankiewicz, screenwriter of “The Citizen,” and investigates the creative process behind the writing of the Oscar-winning script – shared with Orson Wells-.
In an atypical year for cinema, she is one of the highlights as a possible candidate for the Oscar 2021.

“Spider-Man: Into the spider-verse” – Amazon Prime
Released in late 2018 in theaters (remember theaters?), The animated film won the Oscar, Goya and BAFTA in its category.
Centered on the character of Miles Morales, the film created by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (“The Lego Movie”) shows us the limitless possibilities of Spider-Verse with its parallel universes and an infinity of spider men and women. Great movie about the superhero and for kids and adults to enjoy.

“Diana: in her own words” (“Diana: in the first person”) – Disney +
If you were left with the last season of “The Crown” (Netflix) and wanting to find out more in the life of Lady Di, this NatGeo documentary will quench your withdrawal syndrome from the filth under the carpet of English royalty.
In 1991, the Princess of Wales gave a series of intimate interviews to reach the journalist Andrew Morton, who soon published a book that scandalized the crown because of the information he had. This documentary puts images of those interviews, which come to light for the first time. Diana herself tells her story and it is absolutely moving.

“The walking dead: World beyond” – Flow
The AMC signal premiered this year the first season of the second spin-off of “The walking dead”, a few days ago it finished airing and is now complete on Flow. There are 10 episodes and, unlike “Fear the walking dead” which showed the beginning of the zombie pandemic, it follows the first generation raised in a surviving civilization of the post-apocalyptic world.
