Besides Telkomselapparently signal 3G owned by XL Axiata and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) is also no longer available in Jakarta, even the surrounding area has also been turned off.
Steve Saerang as IOH’s SVP Head of Corporate Communications said his 3G network in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi area (Jabodetabek) is gone by now.
Steve said that disabling the 3G network in Jabodetabek was in accordance with the agenda of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) which was carried out in stages.

“We will follow the deadline given by Kominfo,” said Steve to detikINET.
Steve added, IOH also continues to integrate and upgrade its entire network to 4Gas well as providing services 5G. This is in line with the Government of Indonesia’s efforts to encourage the use of 4G as a backbone national digital network.
“We’re at Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison will continue to encourage customers to maximize our superior 4G services thanks to network integration that will strengthen signal coverage, including indoors, to support their digital lifestyle and needs,” said Steve.
Meanwhile, XL Axiata also ensure that the signal 3G they are no longer found in the area Jabodetabek at the moment.
“There is no more (XL Axiata 3G signal in Jabodetabek). We have moved 3G ke 4G for area Jabodetabek” said XL Axiata Group Head Corporate Communications Tri Wahyuningsih.
Ayu said that at the same time XL Axiata’s 3G services had been shut down in the areas of West Java, East Java, Kalimantan, northern Sumatra, southern Sumatra, to the areas of Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua.
