Xiaomi knows that change has to come
An excessively broad offer, weak marketing and a loss of luster in the premium segment, where Samsung reigns with its Galaxy series and Apple with its iPhones, result in Xiaomi falling in sales. It’s no secret that the Chinese company is not doing well for a long time. That’s the reality. Will Xiaomi get customers back on their side?
It is certain that they will at least try. Soon. The current trend is to be reversed by the new series of Xiaomi 14 smartphones, especially the premium model Xiaomi 14 Pro, which will bring several “bests”. According to the trusted insider Kartikey Singh, the phone will be built on a 6.7-inch display with a 2K resolution and Micro Quad Curved C8 technology. Of course, there will be an LTPO layer, and thus a variable frequency of 1 to 120 Hz.
Where the panel will clearly stand out is its luminosity – there is talk of a brightness of up to 3000 nits, which means that the content on the display will be visible even in direct sunlight. For comparison, this year’s iPhone 15 Pro has a display with a maximum brightness of 2000 nits. The built-in fingerprint reader should also be highlighted from the upcoming equipment.
The Xiaomi 14 will have power to spare
Under the hood, a brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset from the American manufacturer Qualcomm should appear. A more powerful solution according to benchmark tests does not currently exist. The mentioned chip will be supplemented with a record 24 GB of operating memory (type LPDDR5x) and up to 1 TB of storage space (UFS 4.0).
There will be a total of three cameras on the back: the main one with a resolution of 50 Mpx (IMX 989) with optical stabilization and variable aperture, a wide-angle camera (50 Mpx) and a 50 Mpx telephoto lens and macro in one.
The device will have a battery with a capacity of 4,860 mAh and support for 120 cable charging is not missing either. The operating system should be Android 14 with the MIUI 15 superstructure and a number of software gadgets.
The presentation of the Xiaomi 14 series could already take place in December. The Chinese manufacturer has a great advantage, because the biggest competitors – Apple and Samsung – have already presented their new products.
