A few days ago we have already written about one of Xiaomi’s latest devices, the Mi Mix Fold, which the manufacturer has revealed before the official announcement that it will hold a liquid camera lens. The Chinese manufacturer finally on March 30, a Xiami Mi 11 Ultra One day after its unveiling, it unveiled the new device, which has not only a special camera but also a design
The mobile OLED panel display when opened is 8.01 inches with WQHD + resolution, so even just the Galaxy Z Fold 2 or in the case of the Huawei Mate X2, we get a smaller tablet here when open. According to the manufacturer, their self-developed hinge with the display can withstand at least 200,000 openings and collapses, so if someone opens it thirty times a day, the structure and screen will still have to hold for years. However, you don’t always have to open the phone, as it also has an external display with a 6.52-inch AMOLED panel and a resolution of 840 x 2520 pixels.
Under the hood is a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor that can be supplemented with 12 or 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, along with 256 or 512 GB of storage. In addition, we get a 5020 milliamp-hour battery that can be quickly charged with 67 watts. this means that the mobile can be charged to maximum in less than 40 minutes.
The most interesting, of course, is not this, and not even the bendable internal display, but a completely new, previously ventilated special camera technology in the mobile segment. The Liquid Lens solution, ie the liquid lens, has a role in the telephoto lens: the transparent liquid has an ultra-thin special layer that can change its curvature for faster focusing and as little distortion as possible. The end result is an 8-megapixel unit with triple optical zoom that can be used to shoot macro photos, and the manufacturer promises that this solution will always work flawlessly between minus 60 and 40 degrees Celsius. It also comes with a 108-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel wide-angle unit.
If anyone likes the mobile, the bad news is that the device can only be pre-ordered in China for now, and Xiaomi hasn’t talked about whether the new Mi Mix Fold will be available globally yet. If so, you will have to reach deep into your wallet for it, as in China the price of the 12/256 GB model is equivalent to 470 thousand yuan, while the 12/512 GB variant tastes 518 thousand forints, the strongest 16/512 GB version is already around 610 thousand forints. This means that when arriving in Europe, even the most combo variant will not be much cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.
