VIVA – After success in the mobile and computer market, the original technology company China, Xiaomi will expand its business by making electric vehicles. In fact, reportedly, they have conducted research and collaborated with other parties to sell the first product in 2024.
Chief Executive Officer or CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun confirmed, his party will market its first production in three years. Currently, the manufacturer he leads has recruited many new employees to work on the big project.
Xiaomi itself has registered a business unit electric car last August 2021. Reportedly, they have invested US $ 10 billion or approximately Rp140 trillion for the development of non-emitting vehicles for the next 10 years.
Shortly after registering the business unit, Xiaomi has reportedly entered into an acquisition agreement with the technology provider self driving, Deepmotion to develop autonomous features in its prospective electric vehicles.
Xiaomi hopes that the deal, which is reportedly worth IDR1.1 trillion, can make it stronger in winning market competition in the electric vehicle business.
