Suara.com – After announcing Mi Mix a few days ago, Xiaomi also announced that it will attend chipset new exclusively for his cell phone for the March 29 launch event in China.
In a poster shared on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, this self-developed chip is on its way.
Quoted from XDA Developers, Sunday (28/3/2021), several company executives also shared a teaser poster featuring the words ‘surged’ or ‘surging’, which is believed to be the name of the chipset.
This is not the first time that Xiaomi has presented a homemade chipset. In 2017, the company presented a chipset called Surge S1 on the Mi 5C smartphone.

In fact, Xiaomi claims its chipset is stronger than the processor made by Qualcomm at that time, Snapdragon 625.
Xiaomi hasn’t shared any further information at this time, but the poster indicates that its chip is not going to be groundbreaking.
The ‘surged’ or ‘surging’ chipset whatever its name is, it is believed to be a standalone smartphone processor that will offer comparable performance to current Qualcomm chipsets.
Another possibility is that the chipset made by Xiaomi will be integrated with existing Snapdragon chipsets or the latest chipsets.
As is known, Xiaomi has announced a big agenda on March 29. The company confirms that it will bring several new smartphones such as Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Lite, to Mi Mix.
