Xiaomi officially introduced technology for fast charging at 100 watts last year – it is called Super Charger Turbo. The video showed how this technology allows you to fully charge a 4000 mAh battery in 17 minutes.

But at the time of the presentation, the company representative spoke about the disadvantages of this technology – for example, to realize 100 W charging, you need to reduce the battery capacity by 20%. That is, for the demonstration, they actually took a smartphone with a 5000 mAh battery and limited the capacity to 4000 mAh. It seems that the company’s engineers were able to circumvent this limitation in order to implement the technology in a commercial smartphone.

The competition in terms of charging speed is very high.
