Xiaomi has scheduled for March 29 a major event where it will present revolutionary technologies for the smartphone segment. #XiaomiMegaLaunch is the hashtag you have been using on social media to leave some clues as to what is coming. The Mi MIX line will finally be renewed, the Mi Band 6 has also been officially announced and the Mi 11 line will gain new elements.
The Mi 11 Ultra is one of the most awaited and today the company, through Lei Jun, revealed that it will bring a revolutionary cooling system.
It was more than a month ago that a Filipino youtuber made known the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in detail. Apparently, by mistake, the video was published long before it was supposed to. Therefore, images and general specifications seem to be already known.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra - the details revealed ahead of time
The highlight is undoubtedly the rear, which, on a symmetrical projection in the upper area, houses three cameras, an LED flash and a small screen that projects the image of the main screen of the smartphone. This small screen can be useful, for example, to frame a selfie taken with the main camera.
As described in the video, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will have a 6.8 ″ OLED screen with a curved finish. It will have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, a WQHD + resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. In the upper right corner there is a 20 MP front camera perforating the screen.
The design reveals that this model also has a stereo sound system, developed by Harman Kardon, just like the Mi 11 already presented. In addition, it is waterproof and dustproof, with IP68 certification.
It comes equipped, of course, with the Snapdragon 888, it has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports fast charging with 67W wire, fast wireless charging of 67W and reverse charging of 10W.
The main camera is 50 MP with a wide-angle lens. The ultra wide-angle camera is 48 MP. The periscope and telephoto camera is also 48 MP, but with a 10x optical zoom and a maximum zoom of up to 120x, according to what is described.
Space for surprises
Despite everything that has been revealed, there are details to consider from official sources. First of all, it is not at all certain that the Mi 11 Ultra will be launched for the global market, but of course there is such a possibility.
In the teasers launched on the international pages there is no reference to the Mi 11 Ultra, these are being shared mainly in China. However, there are good reasons for mobile enthusiasts to be expectant.
The Mi 11 Ultra will come equipped with a silicon-oxygen anode battery and, despite the previous leak from the account that comes equipped with the Snapdragon 888, there is the possibility of bringing an entirely new chip. There are those who speculate that it may be the return of a proprietary processor, such as the Surge S1 launched a few years ago.
The battery, on the other hand, will provide even faster charging than the technologies we know today. In addition, it allows the batteries to be thinner, allowing, then, to create smartphones with structures that are also thinner. This nano-scale silicon material, in theory, ends up having an energy storage capacity 10 times greater than graphite.
And yet… a revolutionary cooling system
Lei Jun, cofundador da Xiaomi, shared in your account of the Weibo social network, details of the new cooling system that will equip this version of the Mi 11.
As you can read, this system will work as a “sandwich” using the three states “solid, liquid and gaseous”, to dissipate heat more efficiently and without undermining, at any time, the smartphone's performance. When launching we should be able to better understand how it will work.
According to Lei Jun there is a 100% improvement in thermal conductivity, but it is not known in comparison to what. This announcement was made in connection with the Mi 11 Ultra, however, it will be the future of Xiaomi equipment.
