Xiaomi unveils Mi Pad 5 tablet on August 10 at event – Tablets and Phones – News

For me at least never a Xiaomi tablet again.

I once bought a mipad 2 via aliexpress, it ran on MIUI (don’t know which version).
I’ve never seen a software update come along, and the thing was incredibly slow..
If you left the tablet in the cupboard for half a year and you wanted to use it afterwards, it seemed practically defective .. (you first had to put it on the charger for half a day before you got a response at all (searched on the internet, more people turned out) having this problem)).

I would personally say .. read good reviews before you start .. at least I don’t have the best experience with it myself ..

Edit:
I looked for an official custom rom, but couldn’t really find anything .. (tablet is also quite old now).
