TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Xiaomi has released Redmi 9T with the launch of the Redmi Note 9T 5G for the global market, on Friday, January 8, 2021. Redmi 9T brings a number of additional features that make it considered competitive for the price level offered.
Starting from the screen, the Redmi 9T packs a 6.53 “IPS LCD with 1080p resolution. This is the same as the one on the higher priced Redmi Note 9T 5G. The camera is even superior to the Redmi 9T than its cousin.
Both have a 48 MP f / 1.8 main lens and a pair of 2 MP macro and depth sensor lenses, but the Redmi 9T adds a fourth lens for the 8MP f / 2.2 ultrawide shooter. Front camera resolution for selfie sama, 8 MP.
The power source for Redmi 9T is Snapdragon 662 with a choice of 4 or 6 GB of RAM. The options for memory storage capacities are 64 and 128 GB. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 9T 5G carries a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chip with only 6 GB of RAM and two options of storage of 64 or 128 GB.
Redmi 9T carries a larger battery, which is 6,000 mAh, compared to the 5,000 mAh of the Redmi Note 9T 5G. Both have the same charging speed of 18 W. Xiaomi claims the Redmi 9T battery life is up to 4 years without significant degradation and once fully charged is enough to last for days.
Like the Redmi Note 9T 5G, the Redmi 9T also has an infrared sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC which is optional. The only feature missing on the Redmi 9T compared to the Redmi Note 9T is 5G. But Xiaomi has compensated by offering a price that is considered quite aggressive.

Redmi 9T is priced starting at € 159 or the equivalent of Rp. 2.7 million for the 4 / 64GB RAM and storage combination variant and € 189 or Rp.3.2 million for the 4 / 128GB one. The highest variant, namely the 6/128 GB combination, has not yet announced the official price.
Compare with Redmi Note 9T Xiaomi offers 5G at normal prices of € 229 and € 269 or IDR 3.9 million and IDR 4.6 million for the existing RAM / storage variants. Overall this smartphone was released by Xiaomi with the same specs as the Redmi Note 9 5G which was already present in its local market in China.
