Xiaomi registered the brand on Poco F2 – smartphone to be

More than a year has passed since the launch of Poco F1, and the successor to a successful smartphone is still not presented. Only in November and December last year, the head of Pocophone Global Alvin Tse (Alvin Tse) promised news about this brand in 2020. And now there is other good news for fans of the Pocophone brand awaiting the release of the new “flagship killer”.

Twitter informant @_The_tech_guy posted screenshots with the application for the use of the trademark “POCO F2”. The images show that the application was filed on December 4, 2019 with the China Trademark Office and is numbered 4280005.

For those who are interested in why the trademark was registered in China, although there is no Poco trademark (it is designed primarily for the Indian market), it will be interesting to know that Xiaomi originally applied for the trademark for POCO F1 in China in June 2018, before launching the device in August 2018.

A trademark application is further proof that the successor to the Poco F1 (Pocophone F1) is indeed in operation. However, there is still no information about when Poco F2 will enter the market – we can only assume that this will take place in February or March, since Poco F1 entered the market two months after the filing of the trademark application.

This date makes sense, especially for India. There are reports that the Mi 10 series will be launched next month, but Xiaomi does not plan to release Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro in India. Thus, the launch at this time of Poco F2 in India looks believable. The Poco F1 was a huge success as it offered flagship features at a very affordable price.
