Xiaomi Redmi has announced its first smartwatch, the Watch. It has become a straight Apple copy, but dirt cheap.
It is not the first time and undoubtedly not the last time that Xiaomi shows a product that is very similar to Apple seems. Even the photos of the product resemble a presentation by the American tech company. A huge difference compared to Apple is that the products from Xiaomi always cost next to nothing.
The new Xiaomi Redmi Watch has a 1.4-inch display and supports Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and your heart rhythm. The wearable will be available in black, white and blue. The straps come in black, white, blue, green and pink. You can throw the smartwatch into the water with confidence. The wearable is resistant to water to a depth of 50 meters. The battery lasts 7 days or up to 12 days with battery saver mode.
Xiaomi launches the Redmi Watch in China on December 1. There, the smartwatch will cost 299 yuan. That comes down to 38 euros. That is of course no money for a smartwatch with the mentioned functions. At the moment it is not known whether the wearable will also come our way. It is suspected that the Redmi will also be sold outside of China.
