Xiaomi has just released their newest Redmi series called Redmi Turbo 3. Turbo is Redmi’s newest series which is positioned as a cellphone with high performance.
Redmi Turbo is positioned between Redmi K and Redmi Note, and Redmi Turbo 3 uses Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 which was also recently released, as quoted by detikINET from GSM Arena, Friday (12/4/2024).
The Redmi Turbo 3 screen measures 6.67 inches with a resolution of 2,712 x 1,220 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The panel is AMOLED type, supports 12 bit color, HDR10+, and a maximum brightness level of 2,400 nits. Under the screen is a fingerprint sensor and a 20MP selfie camera at the top.
For the main camera, there is a Sony LYT-600 50MP sensor which uses a lens with an aperture of F/1.59 and is equipped with optical image stabilization. There is also a camera with an ultrawide lens that uses an 8MP IMX355 sensor.
Redmi Turbo 3 is available in two LPDDR5X RAM options, namely 12GB and 16GB, as well as three UFS 4.0 storage options, namely 256GB/512GB/1TB. The OS is Android 14 with HyperOS customization, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 90W charging support.
In China, the Redmi Turbo 3 is available in three color choices, black, green and titanium, as well as a special Harry Potter edition. Prices start from USD 276 or around IDR 4.4 million for the 12GB/256GB version, and USD 386 or around IDR 6.2 million for the 16GB/1TB version.
Sales will only start on April 15 and will likely only be available in China. For the global variant, it is reported that the Redmi Turbo 3 will be rebranded with the name Poco F6.
Interestingly, if you look at the Ministry of Industry’s TKDN website, there is a Poco device with the code 24069PC21G. If traced, this is the code for the Poco F6 cellphone, which was previously registered on Singapore’s IMDA certification site.
On the Ministry of Industry’s TKDN website, devices were also found with the code 2404APC5FG which is the Poco M6, and also 24040RN64Y which is the Redmi 3.
