Xiaomi has a new Redmi Pad SE tablet on the Czech market
It is a device for the undemanding, it offers an octa-core Snapdragon 680 and a 90Hz display
The price was set very low, it will be sold for 3,999 CZK, from September it will be 500 CZK more expensive

Xiaomi obviously sees summer as tablet time. In short order, it is launching a second tablet on the Czech market – after the Xiaomi Pad 6 comes the Redmi Pad SE, one of the cheapest tablets on the Czech market. It targets undemanding customers, seniors or families with children. The price is below the threshold of 5 thousand crowns.

Redmi Pad SE: a tablet for schoolchildren

The new tablet from Xiaomi offers an all-metal body with a thin profile of only 7.36 millimeters. Overall dimensions are 255 x 167 millimeters and weight 478 grams. On the front, there is an 11″ IPS LCD panel with Full HD resolution at a standard 16:10 aspect ratio (fineness is then 207 pixels per inch). The tablet also impresses with a refresh rate of 30 to 90 Hz.

Inside there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 computing unit with a 6nm construction and an Adreno 610 graphics chip. In the body, you will also find a battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh, which supports 10W charging with the included adapter to the socket. Other equipment includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 or USB-C. There are also 4 speakers with a stereo effect and a 3.5 mm audio jack around the perimeter. There is no fingerprint reader, but it is replaced by a face scanner in the front camera.

Speaking of the camera, the front one offers a resolution of 5 Mpx and handles video recording with Full HD resolution and 30 fps. On the back is an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. However, the budget was not enough for the all-important LED backlight.

Price and availability

The Redmi Pad SE tablet is officially sold in the Czech Republic from today, i.e. from August 15. It is available in a single memory version of 4/128 GB and in two color variants: Graphite Gray and Mint Green. The price was set at CZK 4,499 including VAT, but until August 27 it is possible to get it with a discount for CZK 3,999 including VAT.

According to official information, no official accessories such as a stylus, keyboard or case are planned yet. However, compatible third-party products will certainly be available.
