Who would expect Xiaomi to make a breakthrough on the TV market? And that’s what happened, because the Chinese are introducing the first OLED TV with a transparent matrix to the market. This is a small revolution in the TV world that will be available to everyone, although it is a very expensive pleasure.
About the so-called transparent televisions, i.e. models with a transparent matrix, have been talked about for at least several years. L
Such a model Panasonic has already presented, and in August last year we informed you that LG factories are increasing the production of these modern panels.
But who expected then that Xiaomi would be the company that would initiate this trend on a global scale?
The first transparent TV was done by Xiaomi
The company presented the Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition modelwhich will be the first transparent TV available to anyone.
This design is practically devoid of frames surrounding the display, and the OLED screen used has a 55-inch diagonal. The panel is only 5.7 mm thick, and attention is drawn to the solid size TV stand.

Attention is drawn to a very high static contrast ratio of 150,000: 1, as well as an infinite dynamic contrast ratio, which is to translate into a rich palette of black shades, as well as high brightness of the panel used.
The OLED screen covers 93.7% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which translates into the presentation of over 1.07 million colors. The screen refresh rate is 120 Hz with additional support from MEMC technology, which will translate into an appropriate smoothness of the displayed image.
The manufacturer also promises low image latency and 1 ms response time, which will allow you to use the TV also in gaming applications.
The proprietary AI Master Smart Engine processor, supported by the SoC MediaTek 9650 chip, is responsible for the image handling. Potential buyers will also be pleased support for Dolby Atmos technologyand the AI Master for Audio technology is to select the sound emission mode for a given type of music or TV broadcasts.
The whole works, however, under the control of the Android TV system with the original MIUI add-on photo TV. An interesting fact is also the support for Always on Display technology, which allows you to personalize the displayed content during sleep mode.
The price is amazing, but the novelty has to cost

The Xiaomi Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition TV will go on sale on August 16 – as you probably expect, its price will not be among the lowest.
The Chinese valued this equipment at 49,999 yuan, co converted into our currency it gives the amount of approx. PLN 27 thousand excluding tax. However, this is the price of a surprising breath of fresh air in the TV segment from Xiaomi.
It can be expected that in the coming months, other manufacturers will decide to present their transparent TV sets on a larger scale.
It must be admitted, however, that the next few weeks will be a period of looking at the possibilities of this technology – we will also see if transparent TVs prove to be reliable enough that the market will be open to them.
