Xiaomi has its first foldable on the market, the Mi Mix Fold, which unfortunately was only marketed in its native China, so the rest of the markets did not have the opportunity to test that smartphone.
But Xiaomi continues to work on its next folding smartphone and everything seems to indicate that very soon we could meet the new Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, some even comment that we could see it on August 11.
The rumor was born from the Asian leaker “Panda”, adding that the device will be equipped with both an internal and external 120Hz panel. Furthermore, the external display is said to use Samsung’s E5 panel, while the internal display is claimed to do boasts Samsung’s new Eco2 OLED display.

Additionally, the external display is said to have a resolution of 1080 x 2520, giving a 21:9 aspect ratio. This would also mean that the internal screen will have an aspect ratio of 10.3:9, instead of 4:3 as in its predecessor.

According to previous rumors, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is going to incorporate the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with 12GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB of storage. It will support 56W fast charging.
But hey, let’s see if all this turns out to be true or not, and Xiaomi ends up presenting its new foldable on August 11, one day after the presentation of Samsung who will also present new foldable smartphones.
