Although, in August a new mega-launch is expected to take place in which a priori the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 and Mi Pad 5 will be presented, Xiaomi seems to have more plans to expand its smartphone catalog.
According to one of its latest patents, Xiaomi would be working on a folding design smartphone called Xiaomi Mi Mix Flip, which with lines very similar to the Samsung Z Flip, would make us travel until those years when the “shell” type terminals triumphed, but with all the latest technologies on the market.
As we can see in the following images, Xiaomi has registered the patent for a folding smartphone, not in a verifying way, but horizontally, thus leaving your screen fully protected when closing it in the middle.
This would have a total of three cameras on its back, as well as a small slot on its screen that would house not just one, but up to two selfie cameras as we could already see in the Redmi K30.
Beyond that, this new patent of the supposed Xiaomi Mi Mix Flip does not let us see more details in relation to its characteristics. Of course, taking into account the rise of this type of smartphone, it would not be surprising if Xiaomi officially launched it throughout this year.
