Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro is revealed. The periscope camera offers a stunning zoom

Just before the end of last year, Xiaomi introduced smartphone Mi 11, which became the first ever phone powered by the Qualcomm chipset Snapdragon 888. This phone can also attract attention in other categories, but it is not enough for the absolute top. We will probably have to wait until the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, which will probably be unveiled next month.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro should not differ from the basic variant from the front. It is said to get the same 6.81 ”display with Quad HD resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz (480 Hz for the touch layer) and a maximum brightness of 1,500 nits. There has also been speculation about a sub-display selfie camera, but we are still slightly skeptical of it.

Where, on the other hand, improvements can be expected, there is a set of cameras on the back. The alleged Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro print image was released on the Internet, revealing the appearance of a back with a large rectangular photomodule. It should occupy a significant part of the upper left corner, it has a total of 4 lenses. The main camera will boast a resolution of 108 megapixels, and there will also be a wide-angle camera.

The main benefit of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro camera is the ability to zoom. In the set of cameras, we find a periscope set capable of up to 120 × zoom. Of course, this will be achieved by digital cutouts and artificial intelligence, the optical zoom will probably be “only” 10 times. We do not yet know what the fourth sensor will be used for; it can be a macro camera or a second telephoto lens with a smaller zoom ratio.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will, of course, power the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with high performance and integrated 5G connectivity. Let’s hope that Xiaomi doesn’t forget the water and dust resistance that the basic Mi 11 model lacks.
