Xiaomi Mi 11 official: the first top of the range with Snapdragon 888 and without charger (or maybe yes?)

Xiaomi Mi 11 has just been presented in China, just so that the company could close the year boasting of having launched the first smartphone with Snapdragon 888. The most attentive will know, however, that Mi 11 had already been talked about for an illustrious absence, that of battery charger, which will not actually be present in the sales package, but that does not mean that Xiaomi will leave its customers dry-mouthed. But let’s go in order, starting as always from the smartphone specifications.

Mi 11 is also equipped with fingerprint reader under the display and two speakers Harman-Kardon, with Hi-Res Audio certification.

We will not dwell on the quality of the Snapdragon 888 now (if you are interested, we refer you to this dedicated article), but rather on what is around it, or “the best RAM / storage combo on the market“: Memory LPDDR5 a 3.200 MHz ed UFS 3.1, combined with technology VC LiquidCool, for the best possible performance.

Regarding the photographic sector, beyond what you can read on the data sheet, Xiaomi boasts of the goodness of its software, without giving too many concrete examples, but speaking only of what the computational photograpy help to capture better photos and videos, both in terms of brightness and image quality and noise reduction. There are also various “film filters”, including a zoom effect à la Hitchcock.

Also interesting is the possibility of connect two Bluetooth headphones at the same time, so you can watch the same content with another person, each with their own earphones.

In addition, Mi 11 is updated with the new one MIUI 12.5, which decreases system memory usage by 20%, while consuming 17% less energy.

About the battery charger, Xiaomi did not include it in the package, but will offer it anyway complimentary to customers who want it. We are talking about the 55 Watt charger necessary to take advantage of the fast charging of Mi 11 at full power, which is also sold separately at the price of 100 yuan (about 12-13 euros).

Output and Price

Xiaomi Mi 11 will be available in Midnight Gray, Horizon Blue and Frost White in anti-fingerprint frosted glass, and in the colors Lilac Purple and Honey Beige in vegan leather, with small differences in terms of dimensions and weight, already indicated above. The prices and variants are instead summarized below, with sales starting in China already today. However, there is still no confirmation regarding the international launch.

  • Xiaomi Mi 11 8/256 GB Price: 4,200 RMB (about 525 euros)
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 12/256 GB Price: 4,699 RMB (about 590 euros)
