Xiaomi Mi 11: 108 megapixels and 8K recording for 750 euros

If with the Mi10T Pro Xiaomi wanted to tempt mobile photographers – and even signed Steve McCurry for a campaign – the newcomer Mi11 puts the accent on the video. True to the 108 megapixel Samsung sensor already seen in previous generations, the company’s new flagship model is presented in Spain with a very competitive price (750 euros) for the photographic and technical features that it flags.

The photographic module bets on a design somewhat different from that seen so far, with a three-camera system in which this time there is no space for a telephoto lens. According to Xiaomi, the high resolution of the sensor allows cropping and enlarging the image to simulate a zoom without loss of quality.

The main camera uses a 1/33-inch 108-megapixel sensor, with an equivalent lens of 28mm and f1.85.

It is accompanied by a wide-angle camera with a coverage of 123 degrees with aperture f2.4 (the equivalent focal length data is not given) and 13 megapixels and a third camera dedicated to macro photography, with only 5 megapixels and a minimum focus distance 3 centimeters.

Night mode

The promise of “professional” results on mobile is nothing new at this point. In Xiaomi’s own words, this Mi 11 offers “sharp images with dazzling details comparable only to those of professional DSLR or mirrorless cameras.”

But in reality it is the night modes, the application of artificial intelligence and image stabilization that are presented as the strengths of a mobile that is presented with the slogan

Beyond photography, the Xiaomi Mi 11 stands out for being the first terminal on the market with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and for the Amoled screen of 6.81 inches and 120 Hz refreshment.

Available in the middle of this month of February, the simplest model (128 GB) will cost 750 euros, while the one with 256 GB of storage will be around 800 euros. Both include a 55W charger.
