Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro unveiled: characteristics, design and prices

Xiaomi officially unveiled the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro this February 13 in China

As expected, Xiaomi lifted the veil on its new flagships at the start of the year in China this morning on February 13. It is available in two models which should be launched worldwide by the end of the month:

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro.

As we had seen on the leaks, the Xiaomi Mi 10 takes many elements of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 with first a curved AMOLED screen and a photo module organized in a much more refined way than on its competitors S20 / S20 Ultra or iPhone 11 Pro.

The screen is this time with a small bubble at the top left of the screen like the LG Q7.

Xiaomi promises even thinner borders, just 3.32mm.

The smartphone incorporates a 6.67-inch AMOLED DCI-P3 and HDR10 + screen, with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, with a sampling rate of 180 Hz.

This should make using MIUI more fluid and responsive.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 incorporates two stereo speakers located below and above the smartphone. These are exactly the same speakers to deliver stereo sound.

The big plus of this Xiaomi Mi 10 is first the integration of a Snapdragon 865 from Qualcomm.

Which is one of the best performing SoCs this year, which also adds 5G compatibility to the smartphone.

The SoC is supported with RAM memory, from 8 to 12 GB, and UFS 3.0 storage, from 128 to 256 GB.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 incorporates a 4780 mAh battery which can be charged in 30W with or without wire while the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro integrates a 4500 mAh battery with a wired charge at 50W, and a wireless charge at 30W as well as a 10 W reverse load.

As for the photo, The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro has 4 cameras on the back as well as the famous 108 MP sensor.

The photo module of the Xiaomi Mi 10 is necessarily a little less impressive:

256/8 GB: 4,299 yuan (566 euros HT)

And prices for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro are even higher:

Leaks evoked a rising price for both smartphones, and the presentation confirmed this trend. Here are the prices for the Xiaomi Mi 10:

128/8 GB: 3,999 yuan (about 527 euros excluding tax)

256/12 GB: 5,499 yuan (around 725 euros excluding tax)

512/12 GB: 5999 yuan (around 790 euros excluding tax)

We are talking about untaxed Chinese prices here and unfortunately they are already very high.

Last small problem, the MWC 2020 was canceled due to the coronavirus epidemic. Xiaomi has confirmed that the international launch of the Mi 10 was therefore postponed to an unknown date.
