Jakarta, Karosatuklik.com – Xiaomi launches the 14 series with the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, an updated Leica-branded main camera, a new design, and Xiaomi’s new HyperOS.
As reported on the GSM Arena page, Friday (27/10/2023), here are the details: Xiaomi 14 Pro
The design of the Xiaomi 14 Pro no longer has curved edges like its predecessor and instead features flat metal sides.
The frame has a glossy mirror finish. This cellphone has a symmetrical design and the two glass panels are slightly tapered at the very edges.
The camera island sits atop a metal frame finished in a Parisian hobnail texture.
The size of the Xiaomi 14 Pro is a larger, 6.73-inch 12-bit LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1440×3200 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which largely has the same specifications as the 13 Pro.
However, this panel lights up to 3,000 nits and is covered by Xiaomi Longjing Glass. Xiaomi also mentions thinner bezels around the screen.
Xiaomi 14 Pro will come in black, white, rock green and exclusive Special Edition Titanium. It has a matte side made of titanium alloy.
Xiaomi ditched the 1-inch type sensor for the 14 Pro and instead introduced a new sensor dubbed “Light Hunter 900” with a custom Leica Summilux lens.
The sensor is 50 MP 1/1.31″ with a pixel size of 1.2 μm and a dynamic range of 13.5 EV. The dedicated 23mm lens has variable aperture, ranging from f/1.42 at its widest point to f/4.0 when closed.
The sensor may be about 44% smaller than the 1-inch-type imager on last year’s 13 Pro, but the new lens is about 80% brighter, so overall light-gathering capacity is virtually unchanged.
Then there’s the 75mm f/2.0 floating telephoto camera, which looks like it was lifted straight from last year’s Xiaomi 13 Pro, which is capable of taking close-up photography at 10cm. It will take 40 MP regular photos and 50 MP portrait mode images.
The third camera is a 50 MP f/2.2 14 mm ultrawide camera with 5 cm macro capability.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro has the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is built on TSMC’s 4nm process.
This SoC is paired with 12 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage.
The battery capacity is 4,880 mAh and supports 120 W wired and 50 W wireless charging.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro is up for pre-order in China in black, white, or dark green and in 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 16GB/1TB sizes.
The respective prices are 4,999 Yuan (Rp. 10.88 million), 5,499 Yuan (Rp. 11.98 million), and 5,999 Yuan (Rp. 13.01 million).
Xiaomi 14
Moving on to the Xiaomi 14 which shares the Pro’s new symmetrical design, although last year’s Xiaomi 13 already had a flat side frame and more angular corners.
In fact, the Xiaomi 14 is basically the same size as its predecessor, namely 152.8 mm long, 71.5 mm wide and 8.20 mm thick.
The new phone comes in two versions – a 193g glass version and a lighter 188g nano leather model.
The screen retains its 6.36-inch diagonal but is a superior 1200×2670 px LTPO OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness.
The camera on the smaller 14 may appear identical to the 14 Pro, but there are slight differences.
The 50MP main camera has the same 1/1.31″ “Light Hunter” sensor with 1.2 μm pixels, although the lens above it is a 23mm f/1.6 fixed aperture unit.
The 75mm floating telephoto remains identical, although the 50MP 14mm Ultrawide appears to lack AF and macro capabilities.
The Xiaomi 14 is powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 8 GB, 12 GB, or 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and the same 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage options.
The 4,610 mAh battery provides 90 W wired and 50 W wireless charging.
Xiaomi 14 is up for pre-order now, starting from 3,999 Yuan (Rp. 8.7 million) for the 8/256GB model, 4,299 Yuan (Rp. 9.36 million) for the 12/256GB model, 4,599 Yuan (Rp. 10.01 million) for the 16 model /512GB, and 4,999 Yuan (Rp. 10.88 million) for the 16GB/1TB model. (R1/Suara.Com)
