The Chinese giant Xiaomi cares quite a bit about its MIUI superstructure. Extensions are one of the ways to differentiate yourself in the world of Android and offer users something extra that potentially convinces them to buy their device. While Xiaomi phones are currently being gradually upgraded to MIUI 12.5, the Chinese company is slowly but surely preparing a successor to MIUI 13.
An interesting feature has appeared in the test versions of the upcoming superstructure, which could make life easier for many users. Xiaomi named her MIUI Pure Mode and will be in charge safety users by controlling the download of applications. According to Xiaomi, about 40 percent of downloaded applications within their phones do not meet security standards, while about ten percent of applications are potentially dangerous for users.
MIUI Pure Mode wants to improve security, especially by blocking the installation of APKs outside pre-installed application stores, and also wants to restrict the installation of applications in the background without the user’s knowledge. However, this is not a cause for panic – these functions are likely to be turned off, so you will be able to take care of your safety yourself. At the moment, it is not clear whether MIUI Pure Mode will be part of the new version of the superstructure or whether it will also appear outside its home China.
