Xiaomi Introduces New High-End Devices and TVs, Including Redmi Max with Mini LED Technology

Today has been a big day for Xiaomi, the Asian firm has presented its new high-end device that comes to compete with the teams of companies such as Samsung, HONOR, OPPO or Apple. Although the launch of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra may seem enough, the firm has also decided to present new televisions.

There is no doubt that Xiaomi is a company with several open aspects and, in fact, throughout this presentation new devices such as the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro have been shown. Yes, the Android tablet market will receive two new members who will try to take the podium thanks to their characteristics.

Returning to televisions, Xiaomi has announced three different models. The first model integrates an OLED screen, the second opts for a Mini LED panel and, finally, the third for an LCD screen. The last two models make an appearance under the name of Xiaomi Redmi MAX and, therefore, they would be Redmi televisions.

We are going to see the characteristics of this new family of Xiaomi Redmi Max televisions that intend to compete in a market with contenders that, to be honest, are not going to make it easy for them, such as TCL, LG, Samsung or Sony. Of course, we also hope that Xiaomi announces its arrival at our borders.

Xiaomi Redmi Max: new TVs with several screen diagonals

Xiaomi has emphasized the 86-inch model, it may be because it is the model with Mini LED technology. This technology, as indicated by Xiaomi, will allow it to offer high brightness and contrasting colors as well as being vivid. It is interesting to know that they have not made any comparison with the OLED model.

In addition, despite the fact that the technology is Mini LED, what Xiaomi has done is to indicate that it would be a QD-Mini LED model. This small change indicates that some work has been done on the panel to maximize the performance of the panel. It has been seen that, according to Xiaomi, the brightness that can reach is 2,000 nits.

This would be the maximum brightness, but it is interesting to know that the minimum brightness would be 0.0001 nits which is extremely low. It’s not a dull pixel like OLED, but it’s low enough not to be annoying in dimly lit scenes. Now we will have to wait for Xiaomi to announce if these televisions will arrive in Spain and their prices.
