Xiaomi introduced the new HyperOS system
Compared to Huawei’s HarmonyOS, it will be available on the phones worldwide
Older TOP models, whose support has already ended, will also receive the HyperOS update
Domestic fans of the Chinese Xiaomi finally got to see the introduction of the new TOP models Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. However, for many current users of smartphones from this Chinese dragon, it is even more important that we have also seen the rebuilding of the MIUI successor, which is no longer just an extension, but really more a system built on the foundations of AOSP. The new HyperOS should also arrive on the global versions of Xiaomi smartphones. However, to what extent it will be the same version as the one available in China is still in the stars. That Xiaomi is really serious about its operating system is proven, for example, by the fact that the HyperOS update will also arrive in smartphones with support that has already ended.
Which phones will receive the HyperOS update?
These smartphones are then Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro to Mi 10 Ultra which are the TOP models from 2020. That in itself might not be so interesting, after all, for example, Samsung has been offering four-year support for its more equipped models for some time. However, Xiaomi has previously included these smartphones on the so-called EOL list, i.e. the list of devices with end of support. So it seems that the manufacturer has reconsidered its earlier decision and at least the owners in the home country of China can slowly look forward to the arrival of the big update.
It is quite likely that when they receive this update in China, the smartphones on the global and European market will also miss it, but we are getting to the level of speculation. The fact is that the update of this model series to HyperOS confirmed directly by the Xiaomi CEO So we don’t have to debate Lei Jun and the credibility of this report. In the meantime, even on the basis of this statement, they are starting to appear lists devices that have a fairly decent chance of receiving the HyperOS update. You can also see one of these, coming from a relatively reliable source in the form of a server focused on everything related to Xiaomi and especially updates to its smartphones, in the image below.
