Xiaomi introduced smart glasses with a 50 Mpx camera

Last year, Xiaomi showed us its concept AR glasses and now this product is finally coming to the market, although so far only in China. Xiaomi Mijia Glasses are built on a modern chip, have quality cameras and some smart functions, among which we can include, for example, translation.

A chip ticks under the hood of the glasses Snapdragon 8 combined with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The weight is 100 grams and there are standards such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. On the right side, we can find two cameras, the main one having a resolution 50 Mpx and there is an 8 Mpx periscopic sensor with 5x optical zoom. The cameras can record video for up to 100 minutes without interruption.

Xiaomi entrusted the display to Sony. It’s about Micro OLED panel with a maximum brightness of up to 3000 nits and TUV Rheinland certification. The 1020mAh battery with 10W charging support is in charge of endurance, thanks to which you can charge it to 80% in just 30 minutes. Using artificial intelligence, text can be translated from English to Chinese (and vice versa) in real time. We can expect more smart functions in the upcoming updates. That being said, the add-on is currently only sold in China for 2,499 Yuan, so about 8,900 CZK without tax.
