KOMPAS.com – Xiaomi Indonesia introduced two of its newest Internet of Things (IoT) products to Indonesia. Both products are smart bracelets Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active and Xiaomi Monitor A27i.
The smart bracelet that was introduced is the “brother” of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 which was launched earlier in early October. However, there are several differences in specifications. One of them is on the screen.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active has a 1.47 inch screen, while the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 has a 1.62 inch screen. Despite the smaller size, Xiaomi claims the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active screen is 10.5 percent larger than the Smart Band 8, because of the different screen design.

The Smart Band 8 Active screen is in the shape of a box that extends vertically with rounded corners on all four sides. Meanwhile, the Smart Band 8 has an oval-shaped screen that resembles a pill.

So, with a larger screen area, users are able to view information or content on the Smart Band 8 Active more easily.
Starting from checking the battery percentage, heart rate when exercising, incoming notifications, and so on.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Monitor A7i comes with a 27 inch IPS panel screen. The monitor screen has Full HD (Full High Definition) resolution and refresh rate up to 100 Hz.
This new Xiaomi monitor also has TÜV Rheinland certification, meaning the screen has received protection low blue light to help reduce eye fatigue.

Smart Band 8 Active specifications
Smart Band 8 Active comes with a 1.47 inch TFT panel screen. Screen smartband offers a resolution of 172 x 320 pixels, a pixel density level of 247 PPI, and a maximum brightness level of 450 nits.
Meanwhile, the body dimensions measure 42.81 mm (height), 25.42 mm (width) and 9.99 mm (thickness) with a weight of 14.9 grams without strap strap.
Like most smart bracelets on the market, the Smart Band 8 Active is also equipped with health features that can track 50 different types of exercise.
The device has 5 ATM certification, meaning it can be submerged in water or withstand pressure at a depth of 50 meters. Suitable for users who have a hobby of swimming or diving.
Users can also take advantage of other health features to check oxygen saturation in the blood, check sleep quality, stress levels, and the menstrual cycle of female users.
Smart Band 8 Active allows users to change the screen display with 100 different themes.

Regarding power, this smart bracelet is supported by a 210 mAh capacity battery and can last around 14 days. The battery capacity is larger than the Smart Band 8 which has a 190 mAh battery.
Another feature, the device supports Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity which can be combined with the Mi Fitness supporting application on a smartphone. It can be used for smartphones running the operating system (OS) Android 8.0 and iOS 12.0 or newer versions.
There are five color variants offered, namely Ivory (White), Olive (Dark Green), Blue (Blue), Black (Black), and Pink (Pink).

As previously mentioned, the Xiaomi Monitor A7i has a 27 inch screen. The monitor has a maximum brightness level of 250 nits, a screen ratio of 16:9, response time 6 ms, and supports 99 percent of sRGB.
To connect the monitor with other devices such as a computer or game console, the monitor consists of one port HDMI 2.0 and one port DisplayPort 1.4.
With a monitor screen that is quite thin, namely 7.5 mm, the Xiaomi Monitor A7i can also be tilted (tilt) several degrees according to requirements.
The price of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active starts at IDR 299,000, meanwhile price of Xiaomi Monitor A27i is IDR 1,599,000. Both devices can be purchased in Indonesia starting today, Saturday (11/11/2023).
