Selular.ID – Earlier this week Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun announced the company’s partnership with leading camera manufacturer Leica.
Before collaborating with Xiaomi, Leica was known to collaborate with Chinese technology giant Huawei in producing quality camera smartphones through the flagship P Series.
Last year, after its partnership with Huawei ended, Leica was said to be eyeing two other vendors, namely Honor and Xiaomi, to continue its grip on the smartphone realm.
And this week we know who the winner is.

Responding to this global partnership, Xiaomi Indonesia also opened its voice.
To Selular.ID, a representative of Xiaomi Indonesia said that the company’s innovation was the reason why Leica partnered with him.
Xiaomi’s innovations in lens module technology, algorithms, and image quality detection are aspects that Leica is eyeing.
“As one of the leaders in the smartphone industry, Xiaomi has a deep understanding of mobile imaging. Xiaomi has produced various innovations in lens modules, algorithms, image quality detection, and other aspects that make Leica very confident in this collaboration,” wrote the Xiaomi Indonesia representative via a short message to Selular.
As is known, in the last three years, the company is quite skilled in composing camera phones through the Xiaomi 11 Ultra and Xiaomi 11T Pro, and most recently the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Through this collaboration, Xiaomi hopes to provide the best offerings to consumers.
“As a form of collaboration, the two companies can offer the best elements of these two leading brands to consumers.” he wrote.
Xiaomi also said that both he and Leica share the same passion in breaking down the barriers that exist when it comes to creating the best camera technology.
“The strategic alliance between Xiaomi and Leica reflects the passion for pushing the boundaries of what is technologically possible.”
