Software support for Android phones is very important, not only to get the latest system with new features, but also for security. Regular security patches are key for phones, but Xiaomi is now ending support for 70 Redmi and Xiaomi models.
End of support right for 70 Xiaomi phones
On his official website Xiaomi has published a list of phones that already will not receive any software updates, including security ones. The same page also states that the company it may not respond to any security holes in any of them.
The biggest surprise on the list is without a doubt Xiaomi Mi 9SE, which is only a three – year – old lightweight flagship phone that serves well even today. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 tablet from 2018 is also saying goodbye to the support.
