According to Strategy Analytics, Huawei shipped 70% fewer smartphones in February 2020 (5.5 million) compared to last month (12.2 million). A plunge which therefore allows Xiaomi (6 million) to climb onto a podium dominated this month by Samsung (18.2 million) and Apple (10.2 million).
In all cases, the analysis firm estimates that the volume of smartphones shipped dropped by 39% compared to the same period in 2019. An alarming situation for manufacturers, especially in this period when new models are presented to the public .
