Xiaomi collaborated with a camera company from Germany, Leica Camera to make a smart phone (smartphone). This product will be launched in July and become a device imaging flagship first for the two corporations.
Leica is famous for its handmade cameras aka handmade. The company is also synonymous with quality, innovative technology and craftmanship German camera.
For more than 100 years, Leica Camera creates cameras lightweight and optical lenses. The camera is identical to the red dot logo that reflects the character engineering German.
Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Group Lei Jun said that the company and Leica have the same idea regarding photographic imaging mobile. Both of them also explore optical capabilities and photography experience in the era of photographic imaging mobile through technological and design breakthroughs.
“Xiaomi is focused on creating the best user experience and continues to hope to bring photography capabilities smartphone to a more extreme direction,” said Lei Jun in a press statement, Monday (23/5).
“This collaboration will be a great boost to Xiaomi’s strategy in terms of photo imaging. Through this collaboration, things such as optical design, aesthetic orientation, innovative technology, product philosophy and photo imaging preferences from both parties will bring about great collaboration and fusion,” he added.
CEO of Leica Camera AG Matthias Harsch added, the company and Xiaomi are brands (brand) global premium. Through this deep collaboration process, both parties have succeeded in bringing about a new era of photography mobile,” he said.
