although I get what you mean I don’t think ‘that’ is a good solution, there are very large companies that specialize in researching basic ideas just to name a few, how do you build a micro-wave antenna from carbon fibers instead of earth metals .
If a company like that suddenly had to start manufacturing antennas, or chips to control those antennas … well, something like that just wouldn’t work.
On the other hand, patent trolls just have to cease to exist, they usually buy up patents far too cheaply and thus take advantage of companies that are really struggling (or are bankrupt), and then again abuse healthy companies that use those techniques. process into valuable products.
one solution would be that you MUST also state a price when filing a patent. This means that everyone who is driving to pay that price is then entitled to use your patent. even your biggest enemy (er competitor) ultimately market parties, competitors and specialists, in addition to an objection to content; if something is not patentable, can even object to the granting of the patent because the price is too high.
patents are there to ensure that research and development costs can be recouped fairly so that companies can continue to develop and survive. however, the current system has been corrupted into something more like a me-me-more-more-more system.
