Fast charging technology has indeed developed rapidly in recent years. In 2018, this technology was still limited to 30W and 40W, but has jumped to 65W and even 120W in the last year.

With this technology, the duration of recharging the cellphone battery can certainly be much faster than the current 120W technology. For example, a 4,500 mAh battery is used Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra can be fully charged in 21 minutes.
But the results of reviews by some foreign media say this technology also makes the cellphone very hot while it is charging. Apart from that, there are also concerns about the deterioration of battery quality in the long run at such extreme speeds.
Previously, Oppo had released data about the degradation of a battery that was recharged using its 125W fast charging technology. It is not yet known how Xiaomi will solve this overheating and battery degradation problem.
In the same post, the Digital Chat Station also said Xiaomi won’t launch the successor to Mi MIX 3 anytime soon. Currently, the Chinese vendor is said to be focusing on developing a fold-in phone and a phone with an under-screen camera which will be produced in 2021.
